13 Nov Choosing Between Pocket Spring Or Coil Spring Mattresses
Pocket spring and coil spring mattresses are arguably the most common types of mattresses.
They’re also the main points of contention when shopping for a mattress.
A lot of people seem to have problems choosing between the two. Some choose a Singapore pocket spring mattress based on the price. The same goes for coil spring mattresses. However, the problem with that, is if even you get a quality mattress, it’s still not set that you’re going to get the most out of it.
The Similarities and Differences
First things first. If you’re looking to buy a mattress, you should consider either getting a coil spring unit or a pocket spring unit first.
It doesn’t matter which of the two that you get. The fact is, both are worth the money. A mattress with no springs isn’t really worth the money. For starters, they don’t really offer much support because they’re likely going to be made only of foam layers. Even if you stack the foam on top of each other, they’re not going to be as comfortable to sleep on as mattresses with springs.
Moving on, the main difference between pocket spring and coil spring mattresses are the way that the individual springs are housed within the mattress.
For coil spring mattresses, they are all connected to each other. This means that if you have in another part of the mattress, it’s going to cause a ripple, which will lead to the others moving as well. So, if you move around a lot when you sleep, you’re going to disturb your partner a lot. On the other hand, the individual springs on pocket spring mattresses work independently of each other. Although, you moving around a lot is still going to be a problem, regardless of your mattress, it won’t be that much of a trouble because the whole bed won’t be moving as much, especially not because of how the springs work.
Newer and Better
Coil spring mattresses were a huge deal when they released. They were significant improvements over previous mattresses that had no springs. However, the technology is “old” by today’s standards, and by getting a pocket spring mattress, you’re able to enjoy the benefits of a newer and more modern design.
Even though coil spring mattresses provide better comfort and support compared to cheaper foam mattresses, pocket spring mattresses are even better.
The fact that pocket spring mattresses help reduce the “roll-together” feeling alone, which was explained earlier when you feel the movements caused by the other person sleeping on the mattress, is enough of a reason to choose a pocket spring mattress, and it’s not like it’s the only advantage that it has.
So, if you’re looking to get your money’s worth, then pocket spring mattresses are a no-brainer. For married couples, they are a definite must, especially for those who sleep together with their children.
Your sleep will be a lot deeper and better and your physical, as well as mental health, will thank you for it.
